MY 2019 BUCKET LIST

24/09/2018

The last time I set myself a bucket list, I don't think I finished it let alone completed it. However, now I have reached the peak of my mid 20's and we are fast approaching the end of the year, I thought it was a great time to set myself some new musts for next year. Whether this ends up being a to do list, a wish list or a bucket list; here's some things I want to do.

1) Finish decorating my house

After buying our first house last month, it has been the most expensive thing we have ever done, but for good reason. At the moment, only the living room and kitchen are complete. Our main bedroom still needs finishing and we haven't even started to touch the spare bedroom yet. I would like 2019 to be the year that the house plans start winding down and finalising; both for the sake of my purse and it would just be nice to photograph the whole house.

2) Learn to drive

I remember this being on a previous bucket list about 3 years ago and it is something I have never done. Unfortunately, I gave up learning to drive when I was 20 and it's one of my biggest regrets in life. In all honesty, I don't really need a car, but it would be nice to have a little run around to go from A to B and back home again.

3) Travel somewhere new long haul

The only place I have been long haul is New York and I think that is actually considered mid-haul. I would love to travel further into America or Australia as I have family in both parts. I am also craving the sun and a get away due to skipping a holiday this year thanks to purchasing a house. It will just be nice to jet off for a couple of weeks and eat lots! I would most likely use a website like Holiday Gems to find the best holiday deals and destination ideas.

4) Take up a new hobby

Fact is that blogging was my hobby which in reality stopped being a hobby when I started to make a living from writing on my corner of the internet. I am not sure what I would like to take up, but it would be great to learn a new skill or even learn a new language. Just something different and something new to focus on.

5) Get another pet

It's no secret around here that Elsie is my first love in my life. However, I have been feeling broody for another dog for a few weeks now. I just know that if I end up feeling like this still by Christmas, then getting Elsie a furry brother or sister is something I would try and persuade my boyfriend to let me do. Who doesn't want another dog to cuddle up to?!!

  1. these are such lovely goals! I try to make it a goal to travel somewhere new. every year! This year we tackled nearly 10 new states (thanks to moving across the country!).

Thanks for sharing and jump starting me to start thinking about my goals!

  2. I hope you achieve your goals in 2019! I really want to learn to drive too! I passed my theory test this summer so I have less than 2 years from that time to take my practical test and pass it. So I'm hoping to start practical driving lessons next year and I'd love to pass and finally become a qualified driver! :)
