Jacket: H&M | Jumper: H&M | Denim Shorts: She Inside* | Necklace: Primark | Shoes: Vans
I won't lie. These shorts are short; hence the tights. I think they're okay for holidaying but I'm not actually going on a summer holiday this year! They are from She Inside* which I got in a size L (size UK 12) for reference. Chinese sizes come up so tiny!
The jumper is something I was so undecided about but I have worn it so much since I got it! Cropped jumpers are just so easy to thrown on with high waisted bottoms. Minimal effort. I actually went into my local H&M and found a £20 note on the floor (finders keepers) so treated myself to a few bits including this jumper! I haven't stopped wearing the jacket either. I LOVE it. I do eventually want to get a thicker one but this one is great for the weather at the moment and it was only twenty quid! Barganious! Did I just invent a word?
Today's been chilled. Just done post office errands and caught up with some emails! I actually didn't realise how much I relied on public transport getting me to places so I couldn't do much today because of the tube strike. Not that I'm complaining, mind. I realised I have exactly two weeks today till my final Uni deadline and it has really knocked me. I am literally the world's biggest time waster so now it's really all about YOLO* and partying. Joking. I intend on keeping a low profile and getting on and finishing everything for the next fourteen days and then I can relax and jet off to New York City. No joke.. I am actually going!
*I did not just say YOLO seriously.

Dress: Dorothy Perkins | Necklace: Topshop | Boots: ASOS | Sunglasses: Chicnova*
Dedicated Monday to catching up with blog stuff so I thought I may as well slap some makeup on and wear a pretty new dress I picked up last week from Dorothy Perkins for only £25.00. Thank you to my little sister who took today's outfit pics. For someone who could just about work out how to turn the camera on, I think she did a pretty good job!
I love bold floral prints such as sunflowers and daisies so I just had to have this little number! I adore the little skirt type frill at the bottom. It's really flattering on and I'm looking forward to wearing it with chunky sandals when it's a little warmer.

I've hit 200 Bloglovin' followers today which was a lovely little surprise :) Thank you! I am going to try and be better at blogging and post more regularly as I know I've had a little recent hiatus but I am back! I graduate from University in three weeks which is beyond crazy but I have never been so excited about something before. I haven't had a pleasant "Uni experience" the past two years and I made the wrong choice in both the actual course and Uni itself but I will save that for when I sum everything up in a post at the end of May.
I'm off to have a scone or two. I've been craving strawberry jam and clotted cream all day. Summer's on its way guys!
Song of the day:
A little while ago, I tried out a 'skin' for my Macbook which is pretty much just a sticker. Wrappz provide customised phone cases and skins, laptop skins and even customised cushions and mugs! I chose a picture of me that a friend took for an outfit post and I just added some text to it which you can add when you upload your artwork to the website. The quality of the skin is really thick and it was very easy to apply to my Macbook without air bubbles and such. It definitely grabs attention from people too!
I also got myself a skin for my iPhone. I generally prefer the look of my iPhone without a case (who doesn't) so I have that option whilst still jazzing the back of it up. I found an illustrated piece of artwork with one of my favourite quotes from Harry Potter on Pinterest, uploaded it and selected my phone and then a few days later, both skins arrived.
Wrappz have been kind enough to offer all Being Ashleigh readers a free phone skin. All you have to do is pay postage which is £2.50 to the UK, £3.25 to Europe and £3.50 to the rest of the world. Just upload your art work and enter the code freeskin at the checkout to claim yours!
Firs things first.... I have a new blog design! I decided to give Being Ashleigh a little makeover this week. I've made the posting area a little larger which means pictures will be bigger! :D I quite like it.
I've been a busy little bee recently shooting for my final project for Uni. Generally, guys interest me more visually (ahem, photographically girls, although it's always a plus when you're working with a hot one) so I've decided to shoot simple fashion portraits of guys focusing around the theme of youth culture.
I shot Michael recently on quite a cloudy day but the lighting worked well. The clothes are all c/o of Smiley which I just want to say a HUGE thank you for! They're a fantastic brand with a fun vibe behind them so definitely check them out!
But for now; here's Michael. Let me know what you think in the comments! I'd love your feedback.

Today's Sunday meaning it's Easter and we can all eat chocolate till our heart's are content. I decided this weekend to have a major hair change. I've had my ombre/dipdye for around three years now and I decided to bite the bullet and have the ombre cut off due to damage resulting in a million and one split ends.
I actually dyed over the blonde a few weeks ago using Bleach London's Bruised Violet non-permanent hair colour...except it ended up permanently staining my hair green when it eventually washed out after three washes. I am not going to bother negatively reviewing it but I don't recommend it at all! I could't be bothered with trying to save my hair so decided to have a chop and dye over it using a chocolate brown; a few shades darker than my natural hair colour.
Today's been such a chilled Sunday! I'm off to tuck into my mum's apple strudel and stuff my face with Easter chocolate. Yum!

Latest video is the mighty cinnamon challenge! My little cousin came to stay last week. After telling her Tobasco sauce was 'posh tomato sauce' she tried it and I thought it would be a great opportunity to feature her in a video. So what did we do? We stupidly tried to eat a tablespoon of cinnamon. Did we do it? You'll have to watch it to find out! ;-) Enjoy x
Don't forget my giveaway ENDS TODAY! I'm giving away a pair of London Retro designer glasses or sunglasses kindly provided by the guys at Glasses Direct. There are loads of ways you can enter! Dress: In Love With Fashion* | Creepers | Jacket: Primark | Hat: H&M | Rings: Topshop
I am loving dusty pastel colours for Spring lately and this dress from In Love With Fashion* is perfect for Spring whilst adding a bit of my true style with the biker-esque zip.. perfect for dressing up and down. It's also become one of my cult favourite dresses at the moment due to the material. It's thick and looks a lot more expensive than it actually is. Not to mention it never needs ironing which is always a plus in my books!
On a chillier day I would wear some cut out buckled boots or my chunky boots from ASOS which I seem to always feature on here but I just love them! Can I also just mention I picked up this jacket in the Primark sale for ten pounds. Yes, TEN pounds! I wanted one very similar from Topshop which was way more money so I was ecstatic to find this steal a couple of weeks ago and I haven't stopped wearing it!
I'm off to my mum's bridal dress fitting today. Better get the tissues ready! P.S There's a week left to enter my giveaway to win some cool new glasses or sunglasses from London Retro. It's worth entering :)
London Retro's new Autumn/Winter eye wear collection is heavily inspired by all things London Underground. Available exclusively at MyOptique, London Retro have brought out ten different frames named after London train lines. There are classy, modern and sophisticated frames; offering something for everyone.
MyOptique asked if I would like to try out a pair and as a glasses wearer, I am due for a new pair! They offer this really (really) cool home trial service which I think is simply wonderful and I had a fantastic experience using. I have been tempted to order frames online before as I know my prescription, but what if they don't suit my face? You're then left with a pair of unwanted glasses, no new glasses to wear and of course, it's a total waste of your money. The home trial service allows you to choose up to four pairs of frames which are then sent for you to try on. Mine came within two days and best of all; it's completely FREE. You just pop the glasses back into the box and into the postbox (free post) within 7 days and then you are free to order the frames you liked most... or not at all!
The first pair I chose were the London Retro REGENT frames in Purple. I really liked these! However, I thought maybe purple was a little too in your face.
I also tried out the REGENT pair in the black and red colour. Much less in your face and red is actually my favourite colour!
These are the CIRCLE frames in pink. I think they're cute but they didn't suit me at all!
Lastly, I chose the REGENT frames. A flattering shape with an interesting blue strip at the top.
After a lot of umm'ing and ahh'ing and asking for opinions, I went for the black and red CIRCLE frames. All I did was post the sample frames back and then choose the pair I wanted and ordered them with my prescription. The glasses arrived within two weeks and I am so happy with them. The vision is spot on and I now feel like a sophisticated young woman!
Now here's the best bit... you can win your very own pair of London Retro glasses OR sunglasses of your choice! All you have to do is fill out the mandatory bits n bobs in the form below. There's a few optional extra entries you can do for a higher chance of winning too!
a Rafflecopter giveaway
Lack of blogging lately but here's a new video! It's a tag of all my rather embarrassing internet firsts. Enjoy!
