I cannot believe it has been a year since I typed up my post reflecting on turning twenty five and finalising some goals I wanted to achieve for the year ahead. Looking at that list, it doesn't look like I managed to tick many off. However, my year has achieved so much more.
It started off as the worst year of my life with personal family dramas resulting in relationship breakdowns and many, many tears.
It's now 30th December 2018 and I can honestly say this has been the best year of my life. You can click through any pink highlight below to catch up if you missed any posts!
- My relationship break downs made me learn to leave things in the past and not to dwell on them. People change, situations arise and people grow apart. It's a part of change and I now welcome it
- Afternoon tea in Cinderella's carriage with my sister
- First glamping experience in a yurt with my boyfriend and Elsie
- Finally went pumpkin picking at a pumpkin patch with Ricky and his family
- Bit the bullet and booked in eyelash extensions and now I am very much addicted to them
- First spa experience at Rushton Hall, Northamptonshire
- Being nominated for a staff award at work
- Being promoted at work to the management team
- First city break with my boyfriend in Amsterdam and somehow managing to find the best deal ever
- Common People Festival weekend with Snazaroo
- Improved my personal relationships
- Conquering my fear of adrenaline + water with the Seabreacher water experience; challenged by Red Letter Days
- Seeing James Bay at The Roundhouse again
- 1 Year anniversary with Ricky
- Bought a house together and made it feel like home
- Finding out I'm pregnant
- My grandad and sisters' reactions to telling them about our baby news
- Spending our first Christmas in our house and hosting
- Our Gender reveal party with family
- Visiting the theatre regularly
It's been a very busy and happy year! Next year will be even more exciting as our baby is due in the Spring, so it's set to be a fantastic year. I just can't wait!
Sound like 2019 will be super exciting with a little one on the way. Hope this year is your best yet!
