The pressure of snapping and uploading a selfie on fleek is high amongst the over saturated amount of users that Instagram now has. The likes of Beyonce and Kim-K have these perfected but not all of us have the time to get lip jobs and botox galore in order to look as perfect as Barbie dolls. I for one know I definitely do not have time for that.
I've seen these light up phone cases making their way around the blogosphere aswell as plastered all over Instagram thanks to the Kardashians who would not be seen dead without their selfie phone cases. This one in particular is the LuMee phone case from MobileFun.
I chose mine in the rose gold colour as I have a gold iPhone 6 so I thought they matched as a pair perfectly. So, how did it perform?
It comes in a small box with a charging cable which I didn't need to charge up when I first used it as it comes with a fully charged battery. The wonderful thing about the LuMee phone case is that it lasts weeks (depending if you're A* at taking those front camera selfies), so there's no risks of low light photographs on nights out with friends.
There is a button on the back of the case which you press to turn the selfie light on. If you hold it down, it changes the brightness of the light which is something quite cool too! So, if you're a real life Casper like me; you will have no problem with looking like a human lightbulb. Let that contour and highlight come to life!
I put it to the test to see if it could really change the lighting in a photograph. Whilst I have no example photos, it really does work and I can finally understand the hype for this product.
My selfies with friends are usually low lit in places like pubs and bars. The light on the LumEe case comes in incredibly handy; giving you an angelic and soft light making selfies look absolutely perfect. The button can control the brightness of the light which is great if you just need a tiny bit of light or a lot more than usual.
The LuMee iPhone cases come in a range of colours and are available at MobileFun for £39.99.
I don't understand why you would be sent one of these cases for review purposes and not even post an example of how they work, picture difference/quality of photos when used. Even though you say it really works I find it would have been more useful to your readers if we could actually see an example of this.
ReplyDeleteApologies for this 'anonymous'. I'll bare that in mind for next time. Thanks!

OH WOW! I've honestly never seen one of these cases before. Genius!
ReplyDeleteIt would be great to see some selfies with and without the light but I take your word for it (If Kim K uses one it's gotta be good, right?)
