Men's Style: Introducing The 'CHEANS'

01/04/2015

43. “A man should look as if he has bought his clothes with intelligence, put them on with care, and then forgotten all about them.”
- Hardy Amies

I found that quote last week and it's stuck in my mind since...

So, what makes us ladies so attracted to a man? Skipping the corny stuff such as as a good sense of humour and a nice smile, let's have a really (not-so-hard) think about this. Personally, for me it's a good beard and a fedora but I won't digress by waffling on about my love for bearded men in fedoras. You hear enough about that from me on Twitter.

One of the most attractive things for me in a man is a good style. Not necessarily expensive clothes, but well thought out outfits. Whether it's matching the burgundy stripes in his shirt to the burgundy in his tie or simply pairing a good pair of tan brogues with his navy, slim-fit, almost-cigarette-esque fitting trousers - it makes a man look like they care about their appearance which then makes us ladies ever so weak at the knees...

Well, it does me. Digressing again.

So, it got me thinking. What do I think is hot right now, on trend and about to hit every menswear high street shop as of April? Gentleman, I introduce to you what is called, "The Chean". You can thank me later for this exclusive trend dropping onto Being Ashleigh right now but I wanted you to all have the chance of rocking this trend before any other guy. Do something admirable and set a trend. It'll make you feel super sassy, in the know and you may even feel inspired to start a fashion blog?

(We do actually need more of you. Just sayin'...)

"The Chean"

A pair of trousers which are 50% jean and 50% chino.

Cheans are set to take menswear fashion by storm and will be released into high street shops as of this month. The chino layer make them PERFECT for Spring/Summer as they're airy and a versatile option for possibly every occasion; whilst the jean back of them make them look like an ordinary pair of jeans until you start turning heads and me, she or he realises they're a unique spin on the classic pair of jeans.

Menswear fashion site Jacamo are one of the first brands to exclusively sell "cheans" as of today at a very reasonable introductory price so it's definitely worth heading over to their website and checking them out. At least have a look at how you can style them?!

Check out Jacamo's Cheans range here.

Top fashion tip from me to you: Don't be ordinary. Never be afraid to to try something new; because life gets boring when you stay within the limits of what you already know.

P.S Just remember why you read my blog. You read it because whoever you are reading this obviously somewhat enjoys what I have to say (I hope?). I guess what I am trying to say is I consider you all my friends so I hope you trust what I say and that you come back soon :):)

Anyway yeah, Jacamo. Go look! #AprilFools
