COLOUR YOUR HOME WITH YOUR PERSONALITY

24/01/2019

If you had to pick a colour that matches your personality, what would it be?

Mine would be orange, I think. Some days my personality is vibrant, upbeat and I'm feeling good. Other days, I am sitting more in the zone of 'I am super vibrant but can't be paired with any other bright colours as we will clash' - mostly when I am having a hormonal pregnancy day and just want to be alone!

Owning our own home has been a joy for the past 6 months and every room in our house really shows off my personal style and personality - whilst keeping the house calm and relaxing for all. I say 'my', as I had majority of the say in things!

Our house has a colour palette of greys, blues and pinks which are really comforting colours to have in a home. However, finalising colour choices for your home can be difficult and leave you feeling a little frustrated at the inability to make a decision.

However, to make things easier, luxury bedding and quality curtains brand, Julian Charles, have made a handy little e-book for those who are at the start or in the middle of renovating or re-decorating a home. The e-book is all about choosing the right colours for the right rooms, taking into consideration what the room is used for and how much space and light there is.

You will see from the post I shared on our living room transformation, our colour palette is mainly grey with pops of brighter colours. We went for a grey sofa to match the walls and mustard for cushions; finishing with large black and white prints of our favourite animals.

I am yet to share any other room transformation posts, as they are all still a work in progress. However, our colour palettes are something I am really happy with. Our three bathrooms are all Navy and Pink and the main bedroom is Petrol Blue and Pink.  Our kitchen is black with rose gold detailing and we are yet to decorate the nursery, but this is something we hope to begin next month!

If you are interested in reading the e-book by Julian Charles and learning more about colour choices for your home, I have popped it below!
