Detangling brushes are a must for me or I am faced with a battle in trying to remove knots from my hair using a normal hairbrush.
Tangle Angel are one of my favourite detangling brushes to use due to the long handle. It makes it much easier to hold the brush when gliding through the hair. No pain, no fuss and more importantly; no knots!
They recently got in touch to ask whether Elsie and I would like our own matching brushes. Yes, that's right... they now have Pet Angel brushes for dogs. I couldn't quite believe how adorable it would be to have a matching hair brush with Elsie, so of course I said yes please!
Elsie loves being groomed but does tend to think that absolutely anything is a toy, so these photos do bring a smile to my face. Once I presented her new brush to her, she just looked at it and didn't know what to do with it.
So, she ended up staring at me, as if trying to say "Mum, what is this pink device and why are you taking photos of it with me?".
I think it stayed on the floor for about five minutes before the "Ok, I'm gonna try chewing it now, Mum!!".
It's like butter wouldn't melt though, isn't it? ....
So, now it was time to get the in action shots, but Elsie wasn't having any of it...
So, we tried to trick her with some of her favourite biscuits...
Labradors are such suckers for food.
And it seemed to work until she realised there was another biscuit still left to eat. The battle then commenced...
She soon saw that I had my very own Tangle Angel and she soon got bored of putting up a fight and was very intrigued by my brush.
So much so, it was as if she was thinking "If I kiss mummy, maybe she will let me use her new detangling brush as a new chew toy".
Wrong Elsie.
Elsie soon let me carry on her grooming and she was left with a super sleek and shiny coat. We have many grooming brushes for Elsie and some of them have gone straight in the bin after the first use.
Her coat is typical Labrador at the front, but thick and coarse towards the back; which she got from her Retriever dad. This means that she needs a good enough brush to comb through the back, but also gentle for her shorter hairs.
I myself have been using Tangle Angel detangling brushes for years and they remain my favourite. I have very thick hair which tangles and knots quite easily, so these brushes which retail at £12.95 are an utter dream for me.
The Pet Angel retails at £14.95, which is an amazing price and probably cheaper than what you can get elsewhere. They come in three different sizes; standard, mini and 'baby' size for puppies or extra small dogs.
As you can see, her coat is glossy and healthy looking and she always gets complimented on this by people. Grooming is essential for her as she is a water baby, so we have to bath her quite often after her muddy walks and swims in lakes.
Elsie and I have really enjoyed using our Tangle Angel brushes and cannot recommend them enough. Thank you so much to Tangle Angel for hooking us up with the cutest matching hair brushes! We LOVE them!

I haven't heard of these brushes before, but having matching brushes for you and your pet is such a lovely idea! Elsie certainly made it a bit difficult for you while you tried to take pictures of the brush in action, she is just beautiful x
