XIP PROFESSIONAL GOLDEN TOUCH SCULPTING PALETTE

15/02/2017

Being blessed with hamster cheeks, I am an absolute sucker for anything contour. Gimme all the cheekbone possible please.

I had heard of XIP Professional amongst beauty gurus on Instagram, so was very excited when they got in touch to ask if I'd like to try some of their range. Now, I still don't consider myself a "beauty blogger" as such. Don't get me wrong, I can apply makeup but making it look like something Kim Kardashian's makeup artist has applied is definitely something way out of my comfort zone.

I have been trialling out the Golden Touch Sculpting Palette for a good couple of weeks now and I am impressed. All of the XIP packaging is sleek and simple in a white card like material. It hasn't got too grubby yet!

Priced at £28, inside the palette are 6 different shades; made up of three lighter skin shades and three contour bronzing shades. Being anything but a makeup artist, I have been using the lighter matte shades as the base for my contour; focusing on the tops of my cheek bones, around my temples, down the sides of my nose and along my jaw line. I then go in with the slightly darker shade that has a shimmer to it and apply this to the hollow of my cheeks.

I have been using the XIP Professional Bronzer Blusher brush; a flat top brush that has enough control to enhance cheekbones. Priced at £18.95, the handle is short but I find it comfortable to use; along with the super soft hairs which are super gentle to my sensitive face.

The lighter shades in the palette I have found are wonderful at setting concealer; especially under the eyes and on top of blemishes. I have been wearing this look almost all the time recently, with lots of highlighter to enhance the non-existent cheek bones that I have; and a little bit extra on my cupid's bow, brow bones and down the centre of my nose.

Voila! A golden sculpted look using a fabulous palette from XIP Professional. The products are available at The Beauty Booth

  4. If you go to the XIP website www.xip-professional.com they do show you how to contour and also make-up artists tips and when you buy the palette they send a leaflet with 'how to use' diagrams. I love it x
