Poker Night At The All-in Kitchen

10/03/2015

I can't say I have ever gambled my pennies away or that I see myself going any time soon. Saying that, I DID go to a casino for drinks recently and I was so surprised to see the excitement and anticipation in everyone's eyes. People take gambling so seriously and I never even knew that it's a 24 hour business! Craaaazy!

Pokerstars has teamed up with with Jones & Sons and has created the world's first play-by-poker restaurant. Unfortunately, it's only a pop-up restaurant so it's just left London but it is travelling all over different cities across the UK.

The London one was located in Haggerston, East London, which is a cool, trendy and upbeat location in itself. I'm really looking forward to the return of The All-in Kitchen. I reckon it would be pretty interesting to check out!

You play poker, win chips and use your winnings to buy your food. Sounds intriguing right?

The gourmet menu offers the finest set meals including: 'Royal Flush of King Crab Thermidor', 'Queen Scallops accompanied by Salt Baked Swede and Bacon Marmalade, '4 Of A Kind of Lamb Chops, Rump, Kidney and Shoulder With A Rosemary Jus' and even a '2 Pair of Pear Tarte Tatin, Pear Caramel and Ice Cream'.  Sounds delicious!

Look out for it in your city - it could be in-town or coming to you soon! Be sure to let me know what it's like if you do pop along!

This is a collaboration with Pokerstars. All photographs were provided.

  3. I've never really "got" the whole gambling thing. I think I'd just rather spend my money on clothes than risk losing it ;) but it does look like a great place, I can imagine you'd have an amazing time just people watching! Such a shame it's left London now... it's a good job I can check back with your blog and visit your other recommendations :)

I've never understood gambling. Maybe it's because I'm cheap lol But I do like the concept of using your earnings to eat. That's different. When I used to live Washington, DC, I went to a restaurant where you could play board games all night (Connect 4, Cards Against Humanity, Hungry Hungry Hippos) It was fun! And I'm sure you can imagine what it's like to play those games with drunk people lol

  12. This seems to be really a fun night. Playing poker is lot of fun. Just like you I was also not familiar with poker or any casino games but last year I started playing at online casino and I really enjoy it now. I mostly play for free and fun. Thanks for sharing.
