seek and revive kilo sale event

06/05/2013

Last weekend, I was invited along to the Seek and Revive vintage kilo sale which was bloody amazing! If you like to trail around the likes of Brick Lane and charity shops, you would really enjoy it. The next one is June 1st! It was held in a warehouse type place in Bethnal Green, East London. It was only a quid (£1) to get in and was held from 11am-4pm. Plenty of time for some relaxed shopping!

I'm not going to lie; it was pretty much just a very large jumble sale but I did manage to find a few hidden gems. Tip: all the good stuff was well hidden away at the bottom of the metal cages whilst all the ~stuff nobody wants~ was thrown at the top.
This was definitely my steal of the day; year even! An original NY Yankees jumper in my size which worked out to be around £5. Barganious!
chain: river island
tee: topshop
jacket: vintage levi
american apparel disco pants
air max 1's
rings: left hand h&m and bohemian collective* // right hand: topshop
model's own uptopia nail polish
After the event, we decided to have a walk to Brick Lane for some food and then walk to my Nan's who lives close by. I found a really lovely street hidden well away full of some really interesting architecture. The houses are so cute!
I'll leave you with a very flattering picture of myself wearing my Nanna's glasses. Do I fit in with the cool East London kids now?
And here's one with my Grandad :-)  Sorry for the lack of blog posts lately. A lot has been happening which I will write about soon but just need some time to think about how I am going to word such negativity. However, this is no excuse for not posting, I know! I don't know why but i've just not been feeling blogging lately. I guess every blogger goes through this at least once, right? I've been umm'ing and ahh'ing over what to do. I have even hovered over the DELETE BLOG button a few times but have resisted. Hopefully I'll find some inspiration soon and get back into the swing of things. I've even been a bit absent on Twitter lately. I don't know what's wrong with me!

Hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday weekend! I'm off for a picnic with Andrew this afternoon (YESSS) so I shall return full of cake and sausage rolls.

XO love, Ashleigh x
